Local Planning Applications

A list of current planning applications in which CPRENL has expressed an interest are listed below.

  • Oppose: Erection of three timber cabins at Hill Side Plantation, Walcot, Alkborough. Reference PA/2020/1975.
    • Despite a re-submission of planning application following refusal, the developer has still not addressed key concerns. The proposal is not in conformity with the Development Plan, namely policies RD2, LC4, LV7 (Landscape Protection), HE2, CS6 (Historic Environment), LC5 (Species Protection) and CS17 (Biodiversity). Nor has the applicant provided sufficient information to prove that the proposal will not detrimentally impact on potential archaeology, the setting of Alkborough Conservation Area and the Lincoln Edge Scarp. A document providing full details of the objections put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Oppose: Large development of 390 dwellings on land to the west of Brigg Road and to the south of Horkstow Road, Barton-upon-Humber. Reference PA/2021/2151.
    • We object to this application on a number of grounds. Not only is the proposed application sited outside the adopted (and proposed) development limits and within the open countryside, it will have a negative impact on the Lincolnshire Wolds landscape character, put pressure on the existing local road network and will lead to the loss of grade 2 agricultural land. A document providing full details of the objections put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Oppose: Development of Fruit Farm, Epworth to create 34 new dwellings. Reference PA/2021/715.
    • We assert that this development will have detrimental impact on Highway safety, the historic landscape of the Isle of Axholme and the Epworth Conservation Area. Furthermore, the proposed application is sited outside the adopted (and proposed) development limits and within the open countryside. A document providing full details of the objections put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Oppose: Creation of 38 dwellings on land south of High Street and west of Swallow Lane, Wootton. Reference PA/2021/610.
    • We continue to object to this development despite recent amendments. The proposed application is sited outside the adopted (and proposed) development limits, necessitates the loss of grade 1 agricultural land and fails to provide Local Needs Affordable Housing. A document providing full details of the objections put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Support: Habitat Mitigation at Moody Lane, Grimsby in association with development of adjacent Energy Park. DM/1068/20/FUL.
    • This proposal is considered to be in complete conformity with adopted Local Plan policy and is fully supported by CPRENL. The site has been proposed to purposely mitigate the impact of industrial development surrounding the South Humber bank which displaces wading birds. A document providing full details of the comments put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Oppose: Partial demolition and conversion of Duke William Motel, Haxey to create residential houses. Reference PA/2020/1354.
    • In our opinion, Haxey’s Heritage Assets and Area of Special Historic Landscape Interest will be adversely affected by this development. It is not in full conformity with the Development Plan in force and fails to address several concerns regarding sustainability, character and expected standard of amenity. The current proposal is amended from a previous refused application. A document providing full details of the comments put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.

  • Oppose: Erection of a single dwelling and detached garage on land belonging to Keeper’s Lodge, Redbourne. Reference PA/2020/1363.
    • We believe the proposed development will be detrimental to the character of the Redbourne Conservation area, is outside the defined boundary for the village and is otherwise at odds with a number of policies, especially Policy CS6Historic Environment, Policies CS2, CS3 and CS8 of the Core Strategy and RD2 of the Local Plan. A document providing full details of the comments put forward by CPRENL can be downloaded here.
